Neutral Palette Honey Gold Oval Silhouette Frame 5×7″

    $36.00 price_excluding_tax

This neutral palette frame (Silhouette sold separately), of honey gold tone is a bit more embellished than a standard black oval frame but I wanted it to have that feel of the Victorian age where the art of silhouettes really flourished.  It has a rubbed finish so I could marry that style with a bit of the Farm House decor or French Country style we all love.

Last summer, I drew up a frame based on a couple favorites I’ve used over the years. I  worked with a company to design my own version of the “perfect oval frame” for my 5×7″ silhouettes. Best part: you don’t have to trim the art into an oval. It will fit “as is” and comes with a hook in the top so you can hang it on a wall. Or – it has an easel backing so it can sit on a desk. The easel backing is wide so it won’t topple easily.  Yet the easel is short enough that it won’t protrude from under the frame if you decide to hang it on the wall.

Silhouettes are a very simple and monochromatic art form. I think a little bit of “flair” is the best way to display them. I absolutely love these frames for silhouettes. They also work well for displaying portraits,  simple watercolors, small sketches, wedding photos, pressed flowers, a brush script quote, a monogram… (Silhouette sold separately)

French Blue Patina Oval Silhouette Similar Frame 5×7″ (Copy)

    $36.00 price_excluding_tax

This french blue frame (Silhouette sold separately), similar to a copper patina, is a bit more embellished than a standard black oval frame but I wanted it to have that feel of the Victorian age where the art of silhouettes really flourished.  It has a rubbed finish so I could marry that style with a bit of the Farm House decor or French Country style we all love.
