Elizabeth’s New Bedroom

I’ve been working on my daughter’s room in the new house. We just finished up the final touches this past weekend. I’ve always done murals for the kids’ rooms but this time she wanted a chevron pattern. So I let her pick out her favorite shade of blue and I chose a softer gray blue to accent it. When it came to doing the chevron, I used a mat board to cut out a template and traced it across the wall. I thought I would then tape off the patterns across the wall, but I decided to try it out with just an edger and a steady hand. (A device used to paint along door frames or windows). So this wall didn’t take much time at all! The edger worked out just fine as long as I was careful to stay within the chalk lines.

We did a medium teal with a soft gray blue to compliment the color.

I cut out one of the “V” shapes from mat board and used it to draw it along the width of the wall (with chalk).
Girls have so many itty bitty collections of things. Most of that goes inside the armoire - along with some peace decals to make it more personalized.

We could have just painted the whole room this color... but the chevron is so fun!
