Fairy Woodland Mural
Since I last posted pictures of Elizabeth’s new room, and mentioned how she preferred a chevron over a mural, I decided to find pictures of her room from when she was little. Also, after describing it to so many people who’ve asked, posting the pictures should be even more fun. I wasn’t able to find pictures of how it looked before it became a Fairy Woodland. The room used to be Ben’s and it was woods and friendly critters throughout. But I had to include an image of his all time favorite movie at that time. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! (I guess it must have just come out on video when he was little.) Anyway, rather than repainting the entire bedroom, I kept the woodsy backdrop and critters. But I added fairies throughout to “girl it up” a bit. I also hung a few, diligently-done diamond paintings. I had to do a bit of scrounging on the internet to get some good diamond painting kits. And then, as difficult as it was, I painted over Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and painted a babbling brook instead. Note the raccoon… Ben was so scared of him, I had to pin a paper napkin to the wall to cover him up so it wouldn’t stare at him at night. When this room was transformed from Ben’s to Elizabeth’s, I painted a new mural for Ben’s new room as well… I’ll post about that next!
