Curls Silhouette Girl
Love the curls on this one. Such a great gift idea for #mothersday It’s such an amazing art form. They are hand cut while you watch. It only takes a minute or two and they don’t have to be a statue so it’s stress free. Her bow works well – I get asked about when to add a bow or when to keep it off. I think bows work well for most girl silhouettes, however, there are exceptions when I think a bow can be too much. That is usually for a girl with real curly hair that is above shoulder length because, I think the bow can get “lost” in all that curl and wave and spiraling going on. If their hair is very short and you worry that their silhouette may look like a boy, then a bow might be perfect or I could add little scallops or ruffles to their collar as another option. For long hair with curls or ringlets, a bow can work well especially at the top of the back of their hair. But also a barrette or a half ponytail may work well to help. (Half ponytail as in, from the ears and above are pulled into a ponytail on top and the back hangs long.) That little bit of propping hair up may be just enough perk the curls up a tiny bit so they don’t just hang from their own weight. So in this example, if she didn’t have the bow in to lift some of those curls, they might have all been covered up by each other leaving only a tiny bit at the bottom as opposed to more cascading down the back.
